Environmental Policy

Core commitment in all our activities

We recognise that our activities impact on the environment.  We aim to reduce this through conducting business in an environmentally responsible manner, as part of our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Our environmental policy is a core commitment that applies to all our activities including management, office services, printing, delivery, procurement and cleaning.  All our employees have a responsibility in their own sphere to ensure that the objectives are met, and we will ensure they have the resources to achieve this. 

Our specific objectives

1. To ensure that environmental criteria are taken into account in procuring goods and services

2. To use environmentally friendly products and practices wherever practical

3. To reduce paper consumption and disposal of waste to landfill  - and, equally, to increase our recycling rates for paper, toner cartridges, IT equipment, plastics, cardboard and other consumables

4. To reduce energy consumption and associated carbon emissions  

5. To make available to all customers and suppliers details of our environmental policy.

Our progress 

We regularly monitor our progress towards these objectives with the results reported to senior managers to help achieve continual improvement.
