Introduction and aim
Lovewell Blake is one of the leading independent firms of chartered accountants and business advisers in the U.K. Based in East Anglia our services include accountancy, audit and assurance, taxation, corporate finance, business advisory, financial planning, outsourcing and human resources consultancy.
As an extension of our belief and commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, we recognise that in common with all businesses, our operations result in an impact on the environment. It is our aim to reduce this impact and to operate in an environmentally responsible manner.
Responsibility
This environmental policy sets out how we intend to address our impact. It applies to all of our operations including management, office services, printing, delivery, procurement and cleaning. We recognise that all of our employees have a responsibility in their area to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met.
Resources
We will ensure that resources are available to enable us to achieve our objectives and targets.
Objectives
1. We aim to ensure that environmental criteria are taken into account in the procurement of our goods and services. 2. We aim to ensure that environmentally friendly products and practices are used in our operations wherever practical. 3. We aim to reduce paper consumption and the disposal of all waste to landfill and increase our recycling rates for paper, toner cartridges, IT equipment, plastics, cardboard and other consumables. 4. We will reduce energy consumption and associated carbon emissions from all our operations. 5. We will make available to all customers and suppliers details of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact.
We will adopt a new core commitment in our business practices, to reduce, reuse and recycle wherever possible in order to achieve our commitment to good environmental stewardship.
Monitoring and auditing
Progress against these specific targets to meet these objectives will be monitored on a regular basis and results reported to senior managers for continual improvement.
